Meet the Fam Heads

Theo Sprouse

Industrial Engineering Major, Computer Science Minor, 3rd year
San Jose, CA

Hi! My name is Theo and I’m one of the Ohana fam heads! I love playing card games and strategy games, especially against the rest of the fam! In my free time I like trying new things, playing basketball, cooking, and hanging with friends! My favorite games to play are Pokémon, Celeste and TFT, and my favorite music artists are COIN, Ruel, and Post Malone. Some of my favorite college memories have been through CSA and Ohana, and I'm excited to make the fam even better! My goal for this year is to meet as many people as I can so feel free to come up and talk to me :)

Kyle Zheng

Business Administration, 3rd Year
Daly City, CA

Hi my name is Kyle Zheng, a 3rd year business administration major with a concentration in accounting from Daly City. I love getting to know people through various means like socials, clubs, gaming, or simple hangouts. I play all kinds of games such as Elden Ring, Brawl Stars, Hades, Valorant, League of Legends, Vermintide, Vrising, and countless more. CSA and Ohana has given me a welcoming and warm sense of community amongst the intimidating college landscape and I strive to uphold that same feeling as one of Ohana’s fan heads. There’s nothing I love more than hearing about every person’s individual unique stories so don’t hesitate to tell me yours!

Parsa Mokhtari

Construction Management, 4th Year

Hi! My name is Parsa Mokhtari and I am a 4th year Construction Management major. I love talking to people, playing games with others, and anything involved with CSA! I have a bunch of boardgames and card games that I love playing with all my friends, and I’m always so excited to learn how to play new ones. I was introduced to CSA my sophomore year and, ever since then, have really appreciated the Ohana fam. I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of. The easiest way to talk to me is to bring up your favorite TV shows, anime, and manga and we could talk forever. My main goal for this year is to make this the most fun/eventful year for the Ohana fam!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Ohana! We are a relatively small fam established in 2010 by Gregg Hanano and still going strong :). Our Current fam heads are Theo Sprouse, Parsa Mokhtari, and Kyle Zheng. Our fam logo is the hibiscus flower. Ohana is a tight-knit fam and we make an effort to see each other and hang out often like randomly going out for food. We try to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all our members so we’ll always be here for you if you ever need a ride to get groceries or a late-night heart-to-heart <3. We are super excited to meet the new members and potential future littles of Ohana! >.-

Welcome to Ohana!

Revealing

Revealing is the annual event at the end of passing season where the new littles discover and meet their big in person for the first time. It’s a day filled with anxious anticipation as littles try to guess who their big is. After three weeks of passing and a day packed full of activities, the bigs reveal themselves and meet their littles. Both the bigs and littles have been talking to each other for weeks now so this big event is where they can officially meet their big AND their brand new fam! This is the first big event with both the old and new members of Ohana so everyone is always very excited and welcoming :).

Tbanq

At the annual Thanksgiving banquet, or Tbanq, the various lines of Ohana meet up together to each make a dish to contribute to the potluck at the banquet. Tbanq usually happens right after Revealing and it allows for new littles to bond and have a good time with their bigs. It’s also a chance to dress up and take photos with your fam/lines. At the actual event, all of Ohana sits together and enjoys watching the various performances while eating together as a family!

Game Nights

Ohana loves hosting game nights, bowling nights, and karaoke nights a couple times each quarter where we can all get together and have fun. At game nights we play board games, jackbox, catan, or just any game to bring out our competitiveness. Even though our friendships are almost ruined while we play, we always make sure to mend the relationships before the end of the night >.<. These Ohana outings are a way for everyone to destress from school and be able to have fun and relax with their friends whether it is singing Frozen at the top of our lungs or throwing a 10 lb bowling ball down a lane.

TOK

Many Ohana members are in TOK, or Take Out Kidz, which is CSA’s non-audition dance team. TOK performs at many different events throughout the year such as Culturefest, Tbanq, and Illuminate. If you’re interested in dancing but are apprehensive about joining, there are many Ohana members who will be willing to attend workshops with you so you’ll never feel alone :).
